man's best friend

I just finished reading "The Art of Racing in the Rain", which is a sweet story about the love & loyalty of a dog, told from the dog's perspective, written by Garth Stein. As I walked Rico today, I saw these footprints in the newly fallen snow.

The prints reminded me of my own dependence on my dog for companionship and love, and when everyone else lets me down, I know my lil' biscuit will always be there. He may be the worst dog on the whole planet, but he is also the greatest friend a human could have.
