I am so excited for vacation, with Matt and our BFFs, without kids, that I now have a countdown clock on this blog (see... over there... to the right... ).
And in that many days, I will be here...
I lay in bed at night, dreaming of sitting at this pool while drinking overpriced adult beverages.
I think I am so excited because this vacation is very "grown up" of us. We don't "do" expensive vacations and have not since our honeymoon, almost 15 years ago. And NO FREAKIN' KIDS!! I think once my friend Colleen fully accepts this realization, she will be okay with me using the word "freakin' ".
We are more of the let's make a vacation out of going to Memphis to see my sister... or spending a week at my family's cottage on Lake Erie... or doing alot of inexpensive sight-seeing in Washington DC or Niagra Falls. But thankfully, we have diligently put money away just for this trip. The other day, Matt asked how much I thought we would need in cash for the trip. The amount that came out of my mouth was CRAZY... but no holds barred on this one, people. I even bought TWO... oh no... not one, but TWO new mail-ordered bikinis that cost me more than $10.00 for this trip. Yes, I did.
Do you think if I keep staring at that countdown clock, it would move any faster?
