Vacation Practice

I may or may not have mentioned that Matt and I are heading to St. John in... how many days?... well, just look over there to the right, and down a bit to find out countdown calendar!

Our snorkel gear came today.

We went ahead and bought our gear in lieu of renting it when we get there, because I intend to snorkel every single day, at least a couple times a day.

Oh yea... I am clearly gonna rock my gear in the crystal clear blue waters of the Caribbean. Except, as soon as I put my mask on, I realized just how small my face is. And, as a result, just how tight my mask has to be to not leak water. Which causes that bone pain right above your upper lip, under your nose... your maxilla, I believe. Soreness.

Rico is clearly preparing me for the large fish I will see off the waters of St. John in the USVI. Do you see my alertness as I assess the 'waters'? That furry fish doesn't stand a chance.

And, practice over. I am prepared. I also bought some underwater cameras. Let's hope they work!

  1. Yeah I know about the small face issue. When I took scuba diving class they had to dig out the childrens mask or else I leaked water. I can't wait to see your pics when you get back!!
