not so tribal

If you recall, I had plans to buy some new curtains that felt a little less traditional than I tend to lean with my decor. Well, I ended up with these instead!
Very traditional that even Matt likes them! And, as I had hoped when I saw them, they actually bring the first floor all together.

While our paint, immediately after we built our house, was very similar in tone and color, and it flowed, we now have some pretty bold colors going on because of indecision on style. I feel like my tastes, over just a few short years, went from traditional to more modern, but things haven't been flowing.  I watch enough HGTV to know that you can combine styles... blah, blah, blah. Seems like that only applies if you know what you are doing.

The blue of the curtains match the blue on the walls of our kitchen. You can't see them in the picture above, but the fabric on the chairs in the dining room are a deep, burnt red. They match the color of our foyer.

And, then you have the family room, which pulls the blue and red together with accent colors throughout the room.
